Palazzo Ghilini will open its doors to visitors thanks to the agreement signed between the Province of Alessandria and the city’s FAI Delegation.
Free visits to Palazzo Ghilini
There Province of Alexandria has signed an agreement with FAI delegation (the Italian Environment Fund) of Alessandria, represented by the Head of Delegation Devis Zamburlinto promote accompanied visits of Ghilini Palaceone of the most important and monumental historic buildings in the city.
A further step for the valorization of this authentic defined jewel “the true royal palace of the city of Alexandria”with Piedmontese Baroque architecture which owes its name to its client, the Marquis Tommaso Ottaviano Antonio Ghilini who had it built in the 18th century based on a design by the Asti architect Benedetto Alfieri.
Thanks to this agreement it will be possible to open Palazzo Ghilini to the public for visits accompanied by FAI volunteers addressed to schools and in groups, but also in conjunction with national FAI events, such as FAI Spring and Autumn Days or those for schools and on the occasion of particular local initiatives of tourist value.
The visits are totally free and will take place Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm.
