He had announced initiatives to resolve the age-old problem of the integration of law enforcement personnel: the mayor of Rimini Jamil Sadegholvaad did not limit himself to being the promoter of an institutional initiative, a letter from all the mayors of the Rimini area , but today he published a petition on Change.orgto directly involve citizens.

Signatures collected online to ask the Government for structural reinforcements to the police forces, not just the support units in the summer months.

“In the province of Rimini – writes the mayor in the text of the petition – Police personnel have always been based on official residents, around 350 thousand inhabitants. But every year the Rimini area hosts 16 million tourist overnight stays and almost 20 million excursionists which make maintaining security particularly complex and challenging for the police, commendable for their constant commitment, despite the limited numerical size. Furthermore, thanks to investments in the trade fair and conference sectors, these significant tourist presences have, for years now, been spread across all 12 months of the year, and not concentrated only in the summer months”.

Thus the request to the Government, in particular to Premier Meloni and to the Minister of the Interior Piantedosi, to take action starts from Rimini, remembering that the Rimini area “it generates jobs, economy, wealth and image for the benefit of the whole country”.
