Cantieri di Pisa presents Polaris 48

Polaris is one of the new ranges from Cantieri di Pisa, composed of steel and aluminum voyagers with EHPH (Eco High Power Hull) displacement hull for long-range navigation and reduced consumption. The first model, the 48, will be followed by the Polaris 38 and Super Polaris 60.

Antonio Luxardo commented: “The new line is made up of boats of different types and materials compared to the brand’s historical production but with lines immediately attributable to its tradition. Polaris 48 belongs to the voyager category because it takes the autonomy of the explorers and adds incredibly versatile external spaces and great refinement of the internal environments. The main peculiarity lies in the liveability of the Upper and Main Decks, which host two large terraces overlooking the sea, which can be used in different ways and in communication with each other, and give the possibility of accommodating everything needed to explore the surrounding areas and do water sports ”.

The Main Deck of the 48 therefore offers two cabins – owner’s and VIP – and approximately 200 square meters of spaces dedicated to conviviality, of which 50 are intended for an internal lounge and 150 outdoors, where a versatile relaxation area has been designed, which it can also accommodate a Jacuzzi. It will be possible to accommodate three tenders, one of which is 8 metres, or a rescue boat and two jet skis and the opening gunwale is useful both for hauling the tender and for expanding the space available to guests when the tender is in use. waterfall. This deck can therefore be a beach area, a covered terrace or a relaxation area.

The Upper Deck has a dining area, amidships, while the external stern area is another large terrace overlooking the sea furnished with sofas, chaise longues, sunbathing area, bar area and two staircases that connect it with the beach area below.

For the night, in addition to the two cabins on the main deck, four guest cabins are available in the Lower, which also accommodates eight beds for the crew (the captain will stay on the Bridge Deck). However, the shipyard offers the possibility of modifying the layout according to the owners’ needs.

The interior design was designed by the Parisotto + Formenton studio, founded by Aldo Parisotto and Massimo Formenton in 1990. The two architects, active all over the world in various fields – from museum and commercial creations to indoor and outdoor furnishings – designed interiors bright with a warm atmosphere, based on shades of brown and white. In line with the desire to pay homage to the brand’s tradition, typical materials of the historic Akhir line were chosen, such as pickled teak, carbon, bronze, glass and brass. Shades and furnishings recall the marine atmosphere, the lines are clear and the windows large and abundant, for a continuous dialogue with light and panorama.

The engineering was entrusted to Optima Design, founded in 2004 by Luxardo and Michele Zignego. The hull is EHPH, designed to guarantee good performance and a reduction in consumption.

The engines will be two 1650 Man V12s, the expected range is approximately 4,000 miles at 10 knots and the maximum speed of 16 knots. The shipyard is also carrying out some research to propose hybrid propulsion as an alternative to traditional engines.
