A new agreement has been signed between Sogesid SpA and the Municipality of Brindisi for technical-specialist support activities functional to the design and construction of works to defend the Brindisi coast from erosion.

The collaboration represents a significant step in the context of the ‘Brindisi-Lecce-Costa Adriatica’ Institutional Development Contract, signed on 12 September 2022. The agreement regulates the assignment of technical-specialist activities by the Municipality of Brindisi to Sogesid SpA , aimed at the design and construction of the works necessary to combat the coastal erosion that threatens the Brindisi coast.

The objective – we read in a note – is to implement effective solutions to protect and enhance the territory, improving the resilience of the coasts to the effects of climate change.

“We are proud to collaborate with the Municipality of Brindisi in this crucial project for the protection of the coast – declared Errico Stravato, CEO of Sogesid SpA -. Sogesid’s work is aimed at providing high quality technical solutions aimed at protecting the Italian coasts from erosion, thus also contributing to the well-being of local communities and the preservation of our natural heritage”. The Municipality of Brindisi and Sogesid SpA will work closely to ensure that coastal defense works are designed and built according to the highest standards of quality and sustainability, thus promoting the economic and tourism development of the Region.
