Cremona Sera – Villa: “Urban regeneration is a priority of the candidate Virgilio”

Urban regeneration is one of the priorities of the electoral program of mayoral candidate Andrea Virgilio. I believe it is essential that we continue with important urban regeneration interventions that relaunch unused or abandoned buildings, or sections of the city that need to be revitalized not only by building projects, but also by new social dynamics. This regeneration must also be done in synergy with our city’s ambition to open up more and more to young people and carve out a space for the university sector: for this reason it is necessary to give new life to buildings, such as the old hospital, so that they can become headquarters of study rooms, with flexible hours even at night for students, but also a simple meeting place for all the young people of the city.
Likewise, it is desirable to continue to make the historic center more and more attractive for young people; all this would also benefit tourists whose arrivals continue to grow in our city.
Regeneration also as attention to urban decoration, with interventions that continue to enhance the cultural places of our city.
This is therefore why we must give continuity to the renovation projects of structures such as: Palazzo Grasselli, Palazzo Duemiglia, Palazzo Cittanova or the Frazzi area. All this characterized by projects that are also environmentally sustainable, to simultaneously promote the ecological improvement of our city.

(candidate for municipal councilor in the Fare Nuova Cremona Attiva civic list)
