THEY LIVED – On 3 June 2024, the soldiers of the Operational Section of the Carabinieri Company Command of Vigevano arrested QD, 48 years old, of Albanian origin, resident in Vigevano, convicted felon.
The incident occurred shortly after 6.15pm, the time in which the 48-year-old caused previous interpersonal disagreements by using a CZ MOD semi-automatic war pistol. 24, illegally detained, fired multiple 380 ACP caliber shots in the direction of his neighbor: a 56-year-old of Egyptian origins, living on the upper floor.
The man, despite being hit in the head, managed to escape down the street on foot, chased by the murderer who in the meantime fired another shot in his direction, but this time without hitting him.
Not succeeding in his murderous intent, the Albanian went upstairs, threatening to kill the victim’s entire family unit, and, with the use of a heavy bricklayer’s hammer, attempted in vain to break down the door of the house, where the Egyptian’s wife, two daughters and four-month-old granddaughter were present.
The military, activated via 112, cordoned off the event area in a few minutes, assisted by NOR personnel – Radiomobile Section, who were the first to intervene on site, Vigevano CC Station and local police station, also interrupting traffic in Via Gravellona for precautionary purposes.
The Albanian, who had barricaded himself in the courtyard in the meantime, asked to speak with a soldier from the Operations Unit, whom he knew, refusing to deal with anyone else. The arrival of the indicated superintendent, free from duty and specially arrived on site, made it possible to unblock the situation in a short time, avoiding the prolongation of the negotiations, causing the subject to surrender, and allowing his capture without further resistance.
The personnel of the operational section carried out investigations on the site of the event, finding the weapon, two shell casings and seven unexploded rounds of the relevant caliber, found on the road, as well as one round still inserted in the magazine.
All the material found was seized and made available to the AG. The victim, transported under code red to the “San Matteo” polyclinic in Pavia, was discharged with a 21-day prognosis. The arrested person, at the end of the formalities, was associated with the Pavia prison.
