The Traffic Police’s prevention services for the Saturday evening massacres continue, aimed at combating the most dangerous driving behaviors and often the cause of the most serious road accidents.

Also this weekend, focusing in particular on Riccione and along the roads connecting to the nightlife venues, targeted services have been set up to monitor the psychophysical conditions of drivers by the Traffic Police. As part of the campaign to control the psychophysical conditions of drivers altered by the use of narcotic or psychotropic substances and alcohol, the Traffic Police Service has arranged for the implementation of an extraordinary service with the use of a mobile analysis laboratory.

In fact, on the occasion of the seasonal opening of the most famous discos on the Riviera, the operational activity in question was arranged with the use of a mobile laboratory thanks to which it was possible to carry out second level analyzes of saliva on site, making use of of the collaboration of medical units. The 19 patrols, deployed according to a grid mechanism, stopped and checked around 300 vehicles on Saturday night and Sunday night. 11 drivers tested positive for psychotropic substances, 5 were driving under the influence of alcohol and another 7 were found to be in possession of narcotic substances for personal use. A total of 19 checkpoints were carried out, 46 reports were issued for traffic violations and 4 administrative stops of vehicles were carried out.. Overall, 17 licenses were immediately withdrawn. Through the laboratory of Tox-tests, a total of 31 screenings were carried out, of which 11 gave a positive result. Finally, an illegal taxi driver was fined near a nightclub where he accompanied a group of young people carrying out an activity without the required licence. C
