Monza, Carabinieri celebration on 5 June: traffic changes

Changes to the road system for the Carabinieri ceremony

On the occasion of the celebrations scheduled for June 5th for the Arma dei Carabinieri to Monza, specific ordinances have been issued to regulate the circulation of vehicles in the areas of Piazza Duomo and Piazza Roma. These measures have been adopted to ensure safety and order during the setting up, carrying out and dismantling of the structures necessary for the ceremony.

June 3: restrictions in Piazza Duomo

On June 3, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, circulation in Piazza Duomo will be prohibited for all vehicles, with the exception of bicycles and pedestrians. This ban will remain in effect until the dismantling of the structures used for the ceremony is completed.

4 and 5 June: extended restrictions

From 4 June, 1pm, until 11pm on 5 June, the traffic ban in Piazza Duomo will be extended to all vehicles, with the exception of bicycles and pedestrians. In the same time slot, Piazza Roma will see a traffic ban in the space between number 16 and Arengario. Vehicles transiting via Italia, at the intersection with Piazza Roma, must proceed straight or turn right, while those coming from Largo IV Novembre and passing through Piazza Roma must head towards via Vittorio Emanuele II.

Suspension of the ZTL

Changes to gate 4 of Largo IV Novembre

The Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) will be temporarily suspended in the following periods:
– June 3rd, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
– June 4th, from 1pm to 11pm on June 5th

This suspension concerns gate 4 of Largo IV Novembre to allow the setting up and dismantling of the structures necessary for the ceremony.

Safety rules and obligations for drivers

Restrictions during traffic suspension

During the temporary suspension of traffic, the transit of any vehicle not following the procession is prohibited, in both directions along the stretch affected by the movement of the participants. Drivers must not enter the procession route. Anyone coming from roads or areas that intersect the route must stop before using it, respecting the manual or light signals of the staff in charge. Vehicle drivers and pedestrians are also prohibited from crossing the road during the procession.

Presence and responsibility of organizational staff

Traffic will be guaranteed by the presence of event organization staff, who will be responsible for any accidents or damage to people or things resulting from the inadequacy of signage. The personnel in charge must wear the clothing required by the art. 37 of the Highway Code Enforcement Regulation, thus ensuring safe and orderly management of traffic during the event.
