ANCONA The imbalance is inherent in the macroscopic data: a third of the Port System Authority’s investments are concentrated on the ports under Abruzzo’s jurisdiction. Geolocating the figure, 108 million euros will be allocated to Ortona, Pescara and Vasto. While waiting for that work to be completed, under the Cathedral, next to the Arch of Trajan, a new cruise terminal is being planned, at platform 15: there are 3 million euros on the table. It will be innovative and very sustainable, but above all it will be the demonstration that what should be reflected in the Fincantieri basin will not be a quick deal. The president corrects his approach: «It will be a necessary adjustment, which will also be useful in the future». Nothing goes to waste. Such as the paving of docks 19, 20, 21, preparatory to the movement of ferries from the ancient port, an operation already in the process of awarding the works. Another issue on the horizon: without a pier or a landing stage, or a brick to be built, which would require a variation of the master plan and an expansion of the intervention, boats will not be able to moor. The rest of the ports

Changing perspective, and specific weight, 11 million are reserved in Pesaro to create a refill basin for dredging sediments. A work for which the process for the approval of the technical-functional adaptation is underway at the Superior Council of Public Works. The same goes for San Benedetto, only the figure varies, which rises to 18 million. Crossing the border and placing the bar on Ortona, the second part, for 1.5 million, of the reconstruction of the profile of the cliff of the north pier is being completed. In Pescara, after the lighting of the southern quay area, with 350 thousand euros, the executive planning of the review of the video surveillance system is now underway, for one million. Focusing on Vasto, the last piece of the mosaic, here is the consolidation plan of the northern quay, for one million euros, and the lengthening of the breakwater and the expansion of the eastern square, for 25 million. Garofalo takes stock and resets the scenario: «I don’t agree with the concept of imbalance: Ancona has always been the recipient of resources, the other airports have not.
