Matteo Girolometti and Giorgia Chiavatti are the first king and queen of the summer. At Bagni Cafè Arzilla in Fano, under the now consolidated direction of Asd Sportland, Nuova Beachouse and Beach Volley Addiction, the first beach volleyball tournament of the season took place, a mixed 2×2 with 56 couples at the starting line, branded from Consulting Service of Morsucci Maria Elena and Michela Gaudenzi Chartered Accountant.
Despite a climate that was not strictly summer, the Fano facility was crowded from the early hours of Saturday morning when the 14 qualifying rounds were played. 32 teams divided into the Gold (16), Silver (8) and Bronze (8) brackets qualified for Sunday’s finals.
The triumphant, after a “marathon” final, was the young Fano Girolometti paired with the Cesena native, Senigallian by adoption, Giorgia Chiavatti who overcame the game 2-1 (29-27, 17-21, 15-13). Francesco Pimpinelli and Michela Montesi from Pesaro. Bronze for the historic Fano couple made up of Mattia Turiani and Marica Lucconi while fourth place went to the revelation couple of the tournament, the brothers-in-law Gianluca Baldelli and Alessandra Malatesta.
In the Silver tournament, applause went to Alessandro Conti and Chiara Battistelli who preceded Luca Manna-Elena Paci and Marco Benini-Valentina Ragnoni in the standings.
The Bronze tournament was also of a very high level, where Alberto Crivelli-Alessia Pelliccia won over Luca Mancinelli-Bianca Maria Brunori. Bronze for Federico Scriattoli and Maria Elena Morsucci.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Csi Pesaro-Urbino based in Fano, benefited from the partnership of Birrificio del Catria, Ristorante La Quinta, Da Papagon, Da Fanin, Elena Paci Fisioterapista, Da Ciarro, Ristorante La Coppa and Personal Fitness Lab.
