Milan wanted to respond to the recent statements of the mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala on the topic of the new stadium

Milan entrusts a note to ANSA to respond to the recent statements by the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala. Here is what was communicated by the Rossoneri club: “The project of the new stadium in San Donato is not in any way incompatible with the possible construction of a new Inter facility in Rozzano. This is what Milan explains in a note to ANSA, after what emerged in recent days. In fact, the distance between the two structures would be 13 km as the crow flies, while in cities like London there are even eight stadiums at shorter distances.

Furthermore, the Rossoneri club’s proposal was presented on a private and buildable area: the area, continues the club’s note, does not fall within the South Milan Agricultural Park, is not a green space but is currently abandoned and degraded. Sport Life City (the company controlled by Milan and owner of the land) is working with the State Police and the Municipality of San Donato to reclaim the entire area and make it safe, freeing it from crime and bad habits.

Finally, the Rossoneri club underlines how the area not only enjoys infrastructures such as the San Donato station (reachable via the railway link) or the MM3 metro stop, but can also be reached via the A1 motorway and the pre-existing ring road of Metanopoli, with recent studies on traffic flows which have not highlighted any difficulties in accessing the stadium.
