Marco Allegretti from Asticandidate for councilor (for Turin) in the Region with the 5 Star Movement, would be investigated, with his father Giuseppe, by prosecutor’s offices of Asti And Turin for fraudulent evasion of taxes.
The news was reported this morning by the newspaper “La Repubblica” which, among the accusations on the online page, also reports that of having attempted to hide 23 buildings in Asti and another 6 in Turin to avoid a collection procedure worth over two million euros dispute. Another strand would concern research projects used for obtain tax credits.
Allegretti, president of the Order of Engineers of Asti, had been removed from his role as Finpiemonte councilor in February 2023 for an alleged violation of the code of ethics where conflicts of interest were hypothesized, he had retorted by talking about a decision “exquisitely political. All investments have been declared, nothing has ever been omitted or hidden.”
The matter ended with the archiving of the file.
“I learned – we read in a note from the M5S Piedmont signed by Marco Allegretti – dI have an investigation that would involve me, but I am certain of the transparency of my actions. I am also convinced that this investigation will also conclude favorably for me and that, in this case too, the only legal aftermath will be the complaints that I have already been forced to file to defend my honor.
However, the ethical rigor and professional seriousness that characterize me push me to immediately take a step back: the need to clarify these alleged disputes as soon as possible leads me to withdraw from the electoral competition. I don’t want to embarrass the M5S in any way and I want to prevent these allegations from being used to exploit its political action.”
