AVEZZANO (AQ) – An important recognition was awarded yesterday, on the occasion of the anniversary of June 2nd, Republic Day, to a person who has given a lot to the city of Avezzano. In fact, in the rooms of the Prefecture of L’Aquila, the ceremony for the awarding of honors to citizens who distinguished themselves in different sectors and for different reasons took place. Among these the engineer Carmine IampieriDeputy Director of the Fire Brigade at the Provincial Command of L’Aquila, who for years, substantially until he reached retirement, was Head of the Avezzano Fire Brigade.

To Eng. Iampieri was awarded the title of Knight of the Republic for his long activity in the Fire Brigade, always at the service of the institution and the communities where he found himself carrying out his long and appreciated service.

Accompanying Eng. to the Prefecture of L’Aquila. Carmine Iampieri, the municipal councilor, and delegate of the Mayor of Avezzano Giovanni di Pangrazio for Civil Protection, Maurizio Seritti, former Marshal of the Carabinieri, now retired.
