Terni, everything is ready for the fifth edition of the Baravai Roman Amphitheater event

Terni-Il Baravai is ready to return as the undisputed protagonist of the Terni summer. He will start on Thursday 6 June when he will open the garden in front of the Roman Amphitheatre, which will instead open its doors on Thursday 13 June with “Teenage Dream”. The event, sold out for some time, inaugurates the awaited fifth edition of Baravai Roman Amphitheater of Terni.

The event, organized by the Cooperativa Le Macchine Celibi, after recording over 100,000 attendees last year, will once again host high-level names on the national and international scene. “Baravai is a beautiful machine in continuous evolution – said Carlo Terrosi, president of the Cooperative Le Macchine Celibi – We are proud of the results achieved and happy with this artistic direction with a dynamic and fresh vision that brings quality entertainment to the city of Terni for an audience very heterogeneous.” “I believe that the strength of this project lies above all in the fact that people feel at home, that they recognize our spaces as safe places, places of care and entertainment. At the same time, we are committed, year after year, to putting on an artistic program contemporary and transversal, in step with the times by uncovering new interesting emerging proposals and successful names on the national and international scene” – continued the artistic director Michele Giontella.
The garden will open on June 6th with one of the most popular Thursday events in the city: Baravai Karaoke. “For us, every time is like the first time,” says the organization. So we open on Thursday because Thursday is the day we like best for new beginnings.” From 10pm, free entry, with Baravai DJ set to close the evening. The following day, Friday 7 June, the Gazebo Penguins live, a band that splits its time between Correggio and Zocca. From 10pm, always with free admission, they present their repertoire which includes songs that have entered various charts of the most important rock/emo music of recent years. Following this, on Saturday 8 June, two DJ sets will feature Orchestra Moderna and Federico Cassetta.
Instead, the show will kick off on the main stage Baravai Music, from 13 to 16 June, the first of the three sections into which the main events program is divided.
It starts on June 13th with the sold out of Teenage Dream: a 2000s party, which was born in 2023 by immediately organizing 130 dates in the largest live clubs and summer arenas in Italy and becoming viral on social media with over 200 million views on TikTok and more than 170 thousand followers on Instagram in just a few months. On Friday 14 June it’s the turn of Lo Stato Sociale and, at the opening, the live performance of Matteo Alieno, directly from XFactor: author, multi-instrumentalist and producer among the most interesting proposals of Roman and Italian singer-songwriters. It will be on the Main Stage with a free entry concert until maximum capacity is reached. Saturday 15 June appointment with Zero Assoluto. Last evening with Ex Otago, fresh from the release of the new album Auguri. The Genoese band closes the Baravai Music calendar on Sunday 16 June with a concert with free admission.
While the garden continues to remain open and active, to complete the programming on the main stage, the Baravai program will resume with Baravai Comedy, the section dedicated to shows and stand up comedy, scheduled from 25 to 28 July.
It begins on Thursday 25 July with the cultural influencer and social media star Edoardo Prati who chooses some of the most evocative summer stages to propose “Waiting for Cantami d’amore”, an “in progress” version of his first show “Cantami d’amore” ” which will debut in the fall. It continues the following day, July 26th, again on the main stage, with Valerio Lundini & the Vazzanikki. A return to Baravai, after 2021, for Lundini, this time with Vazzanikki to present “Innamorati della vita tour”, a show between music and comedy which takes its name from their highly anticipated new album due out in the summer. Great anticipation on Saturday 27 July for Sabina Guzzanti with her new show “Liberidà liberidì”, a monologue in which politics, work and technology come together accompanied by the ironic vein that distinguishes the actress’s satire. Marco Travaglio’s show closes the program on Sunday 28 July: the journalist, Italian essayist and commentator tells on stage, in the usual satirical style, “The best damage of our life – Second Season”. “For Baravai Comedy we strongly wanted – added Alina Razmerita, organizational director of Le Macchine Celibi – that there was the possibility of subscribing. to all four events at a low price of 50 euros for an entire program of top-level shows. The programming at B Side will also continue, presenting shows and cultural content for adults and children from June to September.”
From the 29 to 31 August it’s time to Letz Festival, section that looks at Italian and international electronics and underground music. The program opens on August 29th under the banner of renewed collaboration, for the third year, with Dancity Festival which brings the DJ sets of Whitemary and Orchestra Moderna with Juan Pedro to the Baravai stage. Ze in the Clouds completes the evening lineup. Two absolute queens of the international dancefloor are added as headliners: HAAi (DJ) and Elkka (DJ), on the console on August 30th for an evening that also sees the Italian artist Bluem in the line up. The program closes with the long-awaited appointment, already announced, with Apparat (DJ) on August 31st for the only date in Central-Southern Italy of the German musician, who has been among the leading protagonists of contemporary electronic music for almost two decades. Opening Il Quadro di Troisi with the latest album, La commedia.
Even in the fifth edition of Baravai, many events have free entry, a choice that Le Macchine Celibi, in collaboration with Letz, has been claiming since the first edition. With the new claim “Spaces without borders”, the first names of the 2024 edition confirm a deliberately transversal artistic proposal, aimed at a heterogeneous audience, but with particular attention to the most innovative and contemporary artistic and communicative world.
A festival within the festival which, as recorded in 2023, strengthens cultural and local tourism while attracting festival lovers to discover Terni and its surroundings: from the Marmore Falls to Lake Piediluco with its stories, to the villages medieval ones of the Terni Valnerina up to the archaeological site of Carsulae.
“I would like to say that thanks to the work done by Baravai and the Cooperativa Le Macchine Celibi, because people tend to stay more willingly in Terni in the summer, despite the temperatures that our city can reach – continued Michela Bordoni, Councilor for Culture Municipality of Terni. For our administration, what these two entities are carrying out is a great project: it was not simply a success at the beginning, but rather it is confirming itself year after year as a high-profile event that allows the local community to participate in major events remaining in the city, even in the hottest months and, at the same time, managing to attract audiences who come from outside”.
