Blue flags, the awards won by the beaches of Abruzzo delivered – Notizie d’Abruzzo

The Blue Flags won by the beaches of Abruzzo were delivered to Pescara. Present in the council room of the Municipality were the president of the regional council, Marco Marsilio, the mayor Carlo Masci, and the mayors and representatives of the municipalities of Alba Adriatica, Fossacesia, Francavilla al Mare, Giulianova, Martinsicuro, Ortona, Pineto, Roseto degli Abruzzi, San Salvo , Scanno, Silvi, Tortoreto, Vasto, Villalago which have been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag recognition. Marsilio, for his part, paid “congratulations to all the administrations, starting with Pescara which hosts us, who have achieved this prestigious result, which we care a lot about. In fact – he continued – in planning interventions, it is not possible to achieve such an objective alone. We need measures and tools that we will propose again in the next programming cycle. It is no coincidence – said Marsilio – that the Cohesion Agreement, signed with President Meloni, which allocates 1 billion and 250 million euros to Abruzzo, focuses in particular on strengthening the water cycle, on healthcare, on new purifiers and on the fight against coastal erosion by enabling all coastal municipalities to carry out structured interventions for a very significant amount. We are talking about an overall investment of between 70 and 80 million euros in the entire programming cycle. A sum – he concluded – which will contribute to providing a decisive contribution to the defense of the coast”.
