Rho: The students bring three interesting shows to the stage

The IC Franceschini school in via Terrazzano di Rho takes to the stage of the Auditorium in Via Meda, staging three theatrical shows as part of the “TeatroaScuola” event, promoted by the cultural association Amici di Mazzo.

The students bring three interesting shows to the stage

On Friday 7 June, at 8.30 pm, classes 1D, 3G, and a representation of classes 3D, 3E and 3F will respectively perform the shows “Epica(mente)” and “I Promessi…quasi sposi” with text and direction by the prof. Calogero La Rocca, and “History in Memory” directed by professors Taisia Nobile, Michela Zappino, Noemi Corbelli and Carmen Meloni (ANED MILANO).

Entrance is free.

The topics addressed by the students

Inclusion, legality, resistance and gender equality are some of the issues addressed with the school’s shows and staged thanks to the commitment of students and teachers.

What if it hadn’t gone as Homer and Virgil say? Epica(mente) reworks the great texts of classical epic in a modern key, with particular attention to the themes of respect for others and gender equality.

Thanks to an innovative staging, the 1D students present us with a manifesto of the need for humanity and, above all, of women’s freedom, celebrated through the courage and determination of heroines who have inspired and challenged conventions for millennia.

Betrothed and wars with 3G

With 3G the classic tale of “The Betrothed” mixes with the modern tragedies of a world devastated by war. Love and hope are confronted with brutality and destruction, while the destinies of Renzo and Lucia are intertwined with the broken dreams of children torn from life by the violence of conflicts. The “Promessi…almost sposi” invites us to reflect on the senselessness of war and the regenerating force of love. A journey through the depths of the human soul, where imminent death and excruciating pain are swept away by the bright light of hope.

Some students from the other third year classes in the school bring back to life the nine Rhodesian citizens deported to the extermination camps. One at a time, towards a destiny with no return, a stone between one stumble and another, forever sealed in memory.
