Doctors wanted for the tourist summer in Molise

The medical stations will be operational in Termoli, Marina di Petacciato, Marina di Montenero (Costa Verde) and Campomarino, with two stations, one on the coast and the other in the center of the town. There is no lack of attention to mountain areas, with a location in Campitello Matese.

A SUMMER OF HEALTH: MOLISE GETS ORGANIZED
Summer is upon us and, with it, the influx of tourists who choose Molise as their holiday destination. To ensure adequate healthcare, the Molise Regional Health Authority (ASReM) has published notices for the recruitment of six doctors who will operate from 1 July to 31 August. The stations will be located not only along the coast, but also in mountain locations such as Campitello Matese, demonstrating widespread attention to the different needs of holidaymakers.

THE LOCATIONS INVOLVED: NOT JUST THE SEA
The medical stations will be operational in Termoli, Marina di Petacciato, Marina di Montenero (Costa Verde) and Campomarino, with two stations, one on the coast and the other in the center of the town. There is no lack of attention to mountain areas, with a location in Campitello Matese. This geographical distribution reflects the variety of tourist attractions in Molise, which range from beaches to mountains, offering a range of options for visitors.

DIFFERENTIATED TICKETS: A FAIR PAYMENT SYSTEM
Tourists, i.e. users not resident in the region, will have to pay a ticket for the medical services received. The cost will be 20 euros for outpatient visits and 35 euros for home visits. This differentiated payment system aims to guarantee a quality service without excessively burdening tourists’ family budgets, but at the same time ensuring fair remuneration for the doctors involved.

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT: A TASK FOR HEALTH DISTRICT DIRECTORS
The operational management of the medical stations will be entrusted to the directors of the health districts of Campobasso and Termoli. They will be the ones to ensure the assignment of tasks to the doctors in the ranking, following the order of the same. This approach guarantees a transparent and meritocratic selection, based on length of service and, in the event of a tie, on the age of the candidates.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: A RANGE OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR DOCTORS
Assistance to tourists will be offered as a priority to those with continuity of care who will provide availability, graduated by length of service. In the event of a tie, minor age will be taken into account. However, the opportunity is also open to doctors present in the regional ranking valid for the year 2024, to doctors not present in the regional general medicine ranking but in possession of the specific training certificate in general medicine, and, if the assignments, to doctors enrolled in the specific training course in general medicine in the region or other regions, to doctors who have acquired professional qualification after 31 December 1994, and to doctors enrolled in specialization courses.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: HOW TO APPLY
Applications to participate in the notice must be received by the tenth day from the date of publication of the notice on the ASReM website (www.asrem.molise.it). This short period of time requires a prompt response from interested doctors, who will have to hurry so as not to miss this summer job opportunity.

AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE: THE HEALTH OF TOURISTS COMES FIRST
The ASReM initiative represents an important step to guarantee a safe and peaceful summer for tourists who choose Molise. The presence of medical stations well distributed throughout the area is essential to deal with any health emergencies and to offer a continuous assistance service. In an era in which health is at the center of global concerns, an efficient and accessible healthcare system is an added value that can make the difference in the choice of tourist destination.

THE FUTURE OF TOURIST HEALTH CARE
This initiative could represent a model to follow for other Italian regions as well. The ability to offer dedicated healthcare to tourists not only improves the quality of the tourist experience, but also strengthens the image of the area as a safe and welcoming place. In an increasingly interconnected world, where mobility is a key element, ensuring the health of visitors becomes an essential priority.

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR DOCTORS: WORKING IN A DYNAMIC CONTEXT
For doctors, this represents a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. Assistance to tourists requires specific skills and the ability to deal with different situations, often quickly. This type of experience can enrich the professional background of doctors, offering them the opportunity to grow and face new challenges.

AN INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT: HEALTH AT THE CENTER OF TOURISM POLICIES
Ultimately, the ASReM initiative is an example of how health and tourism policies can integrate to offer a better service to citizens and visitors. Health must be at the center of tourism policies, and ensuring adequate healthcare is a fundamental step in this direction. Molise, with this initiative, demonstrates that it is at the forefront, ready to offer a safe and peaceful summer to all its visitors.
