Thanks to the commitment of the State Police of Campobasso in the control of commercial establishments, in particular betting shops and video lottery machines, in recent days the Police Commissioner TATARELLI issued a provision suspending the license of a betting shop in the city center of Capital, pursuant to art. 100 TULPS, drawn up by the staff of the Administrative and Social Police Division of the Police Headquarters.
The provision arose from the numerous interventions of the crews of the State Police Flying Squad and the Carabinieri patrols for reports relating to the use of drugs and fights by some patrons of the betting shop as well as from the results of targeted checks carried out by the men from the Police Headquarters, who made it possible to ascertain that the business was a regular meeting place for individuals with criminal records and was also the scene of the commission of some crimes including brawls and assaults involving foreigners, creating alarm among citizens.
In this regard, last May 28, thanks also to the work of the staff of the Anti-Crime Police Division, the Campobasso Police Commissioner issued four prevention measures prohibiting access to public establishments and public entertainment venues (DACUR) for as many subjects non-EU citizens, frequenters of the betting shop, who became the protagonists of a violent brawl in the immediate vicinity of the premises.
The proven situation of danger to public order and safety deriving from these circumstances has therefore led the Police Commissioner to adopt the closure measure for a period of 15 days.
