Average spectators and stadium filling, Genoa among the big ones

The palpable enthusiasm that accompanied Genoa in their season of return to Serie A turns into mind-boggling numbers. In fact, the Genoese team is among the greats both in terms of average spectators and in terms of filling the stadium with the Ferraris which has always been an enthralling setting for Gilardino’s team.

The Grifone managed to end the season with an average of 31,935 fans at their home stadium, placing them immediately behind the big teams. In first place is Inter with 72,838, followed by Milan with 72,008 and then again Roma with 62,956, Napoli with 46,419 and Lazio with 44,434. Above the Grifone there is Juventus with 39,575 while Fiorentina comes behind with 28,455, the rossoblu also do better than Bologna who despite qualifying for the Champions League with over 28,455 attendances.

Genoa fourth for stadium filling

The ranking is even better if you look at the filling of the stadium with Ferraris which settled on an average of 96.17% of the total seats, only Cagliari did better (98.51% with Unipol Domus who can hold around 16 thousand spectators), Atalanta with 96.74% but it should be remembered that the Gewiss is under renovation and therefore with reduced capacity and Inter with 96.21%. The others are all behind Genoa, Juve, Milan, Rome and Frosinone exceed 90%, and other large places such as Naples and Turin settle between 80 and 85%. Lazio is second to last with only 63.3%.
