TERNI –Yet another split in the centre, in Piazza del Mercato, to the detriment of the “Source of selected meats”. One of the very few businesses that have resisted the degradation of that vital part of the city centre, which has been waiting to be redeveloped for years. Since the covered market was closed and moved to Lake Manni.
In the night between Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd, someone broke into the butcher’s shop. He broke the glass where the cash register is located and took away the drawer. “Empty, fortunately” – said the owners. “Instead they took away the cheese pizzas and some other packaged food.” A lot of damage for a meager loot. A damage that however did not hinder the opening of the shop: «Let’s move forward. But in this part of the city, now, we don’t live peacefully. Thefts are the order of the day.”
