Today, the Carabinieri of the Caserta Company have implemented a coercive measure order issued by the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, at the request of this Prosecutor’s Office, against a person resident in Afragola. The contested crime concerns the armed robbery perpetrated by three subjects on the evening of 09.20.2023 against a tobacconist located in Caserta.
The precautionary custody order is the epilogue of a complex investigative activity started immediately following the phases, coordinated by this Prosecutor’s Office and conducted by the Carabinieri of the Caserta Company, both with telephone interception activities and with targeted observation and shadowing services, thanks to which valuable information was acquired which, also thanks to the information link between the various commands of the Carabinieri present in a widespread manner throughout the territory, made it possible to trace the identity of one of the perpetrators.
The investigations, in particular, made it possible to reconstruct the exact criminal dynamics. In particular, one of the two subjects was responsible for obtaining the weapons and the vehicle used for the robbery, registered to a frontman, while the others materially contributed to the commission of the crime.
Today’s operation represents yet another result obtained by this Prosecutor’s Office and the Carabinieri in combating the phenomenon of predatory crimes. It should be noted that the proceeding is in the preliminary investigation phase, which is under investigation today
is to be considered innocent until the final sentence and that the precautionary measure was adopted without the cross-examination which will take place before the third judge who will also be able to evaluate the absence of any form of responsibility on the part of the same.
