PAVIA – A 15-year-old boy, a student at the Apolf institute in Pavia, saw his school year end due to an attack he suffered in class last November. The head trauma he suffered required hospitalization and left physical and psychological consequences that made his return to class impossible. Faced with this unacceptable situation, the young man’s family has decided not to sit idle: the school will be reported and legal action will be taken.
As reported by the Pavia Province, the incident took place within the Apolf institute, a professional school that prepares young people for the world of work in the catering sector. An episode of violence that had dramatic consequences for the 15-year-old, forced to take drugs and follow a psychological path to overcome the traumas he suffered.
The family, in addition to reporting the incident, also requested the school to activate distance learning to allow the boy to continue his studies. The request, however, fell on deaf ears.
On the other hand, Apolf’s principal, Piero Iannello, defended himself by stating that he had done everything possible to facilitate the boy’s return to school, underlining however that he had never received a formal request for distance learning, which could however only be implemented for a limited period. But the 15-year-old’s family doesn’t agree and, determined to clarify and obtain justice, has entrusted the case to a lawyer and is preparing to file a complaint against the institute.
This episode, unfortunately not isolated, brings to light the scourge of bullying in schools, a phenomenon that continues to claim victims, leaving deep physical and psychological wounds.
