A hot week for Spal in La Nuova Ferrara

Ferrara Spal is preparing to experience a week off the pitch that would be very simplistic to define as merely important. The topics to be addressed remain numerous and at the same time quite intricate. Some may still remain pending, others will necessarily need to be discussed.

The basis of everything remains the registration for the next Serie C championship with a deadline set for tomorrow evening, but apparently there is the possibility that the biancazzurri club could present all the documents requested today and therefore give official communication as already happened in the past. The bureaucratic work on the admission has been carried out for weeks by the general director of via Copparo: that Corrado Di Taranto who in recent days has attracted the attention of cadet clubs (not just Cesena) and who will therefore have to deepen his position as soon as possible together with president Joe Tacopina.

But registration and the market sirens on his general manager are not the only issues that the company’s number one will have to deal with as soon as possible to lay a foundation for tomorrow’s work. In fact, the name of the new sports director must also be pigeonholed, with Alex Casella of Pro Vercelli which remains in absolute pole position while Giuseppe Magalini has not yet decided whether to stay in Catanzaro, go to Pisa or return to the Ferrara idea (today however distant). We would need definitive decisions and it would be time to get things sorted out as soon as possible. Perhaps by placing one piece at a time – even consequential -, inserted immediately after registration which remains the basis of everything.

Together with the Este people, there would also be a certain Domenico Di Carlo wanting to know more with certainty about the planning of the next sports project. The coach’s wait – which has lasted for over a month – is the translation of his expressed desire to remain at Spal. The club has also spoken clearly in its intention to extend the marriage, but the famous signature cannot arrive without the technical-managerial board having been completed. And so on also for players with the possibility of renewal (the experts Valentini and Siligardi) or those who have been with the blue and white in the loan condition to be negotiated (Zilli, but also Dalmonte).

In the meantime, another typically summer theme is that relating to the gathering and retreat that the team will carry out especially in the month of July. In compliance with the agreement signed three years ago, Spal will return to Val di Sole (the reference locations remain Mezzana and Marilleva). Obviously nothing has been decided yet, but the timing of the first meeting in via Copparo – for medical visits, tests and first training sessions – should arrive at the beginning of the second week of July (around 8-9). A couple of days later the mountain mission could start, with the associated wait to understand how many and which friendlies the blue and whites will play. Napoli will be staying in nearby Dimaro at the same time and it seems that there could still be a test for the Neapolitans against a Serie C team. The possibility of a “repeat” with Spal, after the 1-1 draw last summer, cannot be ruled out . But nothing would have been put together yet.
