Fabio Piga, 37, a former carabiniere and company manager, was killed with a stab wound to the chest in a pub in Cagliari. The person who killed him was a 19-year-old, Yari Fa, already known to the police. The boy was arrested on charges of voluntary homicide and taken to prison in Uta.

The two would come to blows and after a few minutes ago he allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed him in the chest, after some failed attempts, the 37-year-old fell to the ground and died. The alarm was immediately raised, calls to 113 and 118, while owners and customers blocked the boy who was trying to escape.

Fa, resident in the working-class San Michele neighborhood, was therefore taken to the police station, where he first made a spontaneous statement, then made use of the right not to respond. He didn’t know he had killed Piga, he discovered it during the interrogation at the end of which he was arrested on charges of voluntary homicide and taken to prison in Uta.
Tomorrow the validation hearing will be scheduled and the assignment for theautopsy to the medical examiner Roberto Demontis. The murder weapon, a knife owned by the pubwas found and seized: it is not yet clear whether Fa had stolen it and taken it with him or whether the knife was already in the bathroom.
