Third day of retreat in Coverciano for theItaly in view of Euro2024. The Azzurri began their journey towards the top European competition on Friday: in three days, to be precise on Tuesday, the first of the two friendly matches will take place at the Dall’Ara. Luciano Spalletti’s national team will face Vincenzo Montella’s Turkey, but first, today, there will be more training at the Technical Centre: let’s go and see what happened yesterday instead.
Italy, tests and tactics in view of Euro2024
As mentioned above, the Azzurri’s second training session took place yesterday in this training camp to prepare for Euro2024. The day began, already in the morning, with gods test cardiopulmonary tests for all 30 players called up by coach Luciano Spalletti, to check the conditions and resistance of the boys.
In the afternoon, again around 5pm, the session begantraining. Spalletti and his staff opted for a warm-up consisting of an initial football-tennis session and a series of small-field exercises. The training then continued and ended with the most classic of practice matches. Tactical tests for the Azzurro coach, who will have to deliver the final list for the competition on Thursday.
In the morning Giovanni Di Lorenzo was authorized to leave the retreat for a few hours: nothing serious for the Napoli captain, who returned in the evening.
Italy, tomorrow’s appointments
The national team, today, Sunday 2 June, will continue its preparation towards Euro2024. Luciano Spalletti and his boys will take to the pitch for the usual daily training at 5pm, with the session being open doors for the first quarter of an hour. Before, around 1.45 pm, he was one of the protagonists of Bologna, Riccardo Calafiorispeaking at a press conference from the Coverciano press room.
