The first prize of the “Carlo Piaggia” literary competition was won by the novel by the Rieti-born author Stefano Mariantoni, who yesterday, Saturday 22 June, climbed to the top step of the podium with the novel “Something remains”, published by the publishing house, also She is from Rieti, Tightrope Walker.
In the splendid setting of Capannori, in the province of Lucca, the awards ceremony dedicated to the nineteenth-century Italian explorer Carlo Piaggia took place, in a packed room, where Stefano Mariantoni won first place, after beating the competition of over fifty nominations and being among the six finalists. A pride and a great satisfaction for the publishing house which has always believed in Stefano’s skill and in particular in the “vertigo” that reading the winning novel gives.
