The “Bike City Tour” starts again today, a walk suitable for everyone – aged 6 and up – to discover the city of Potenza on a bike. A moment of leisure, enriched by moments of rest (cultural stop) with food for thought on the artistic experiences of young people from Potenza, knowledge of places and environmental sustainability. A clear and strong message that you can get to know the area in a different way, through sports and sharing, as well as encouraging young people who have ideas, energy and enthusiasm to move forward with courage.
The 2024 initiative was promoted by the university association ESN Sui-Generis Basilicata and is part of the cultural festival «Musica Senza Etichetta», sponsored by the University of Basilicata. The route of approximately 10 km has been designed to guarantee maximum safety, thanks to the collaboration of the local police and will cross the main streets of the city.
The meeting point to take part in the “giro” is scheduled at Baden Powell Park at 9am. Half an hour after the official start, head towards Viale Firenze, continuation along Via Di Gura, Via Don Minozzi, Via Lazio, Via Ciccotti (alongside the Command regional Carabinieri), Via Cavour, Via Appia, Viale del Basento, Via dell’Elettronica (up to the San Vito Bridge), Via della Fisica, Via della Chimica, again Viale del Basento and the Musmeci Bridge, then entering Viale dell’Unicef to merge into Via Roma, Via Trieste, Viale Firenze, Via San Domenico Savio and return to Baden Powell Park.
