BPER RN Savona announces that it has reached an agreement today for the next competitive season with the Sicilian defender Davide Occhione, who played for Telimar last year.
Davide Occhione was born in Palermo on 12 July 2002 and comes from one of the historic families of Palermo water polo. He grew up in Telimar with which he achieved a 3rd place in the Italian Cup in 2021 and a 2nd place in the Len Euro Cup in 2022.
He was part of the national youth team with which he won the Under 17 European Championship in Tbilisi, Georgia in 2019 and achieved a 2nd place in 2022 at the World Junior Championships in Prague.
With the National University team he won the Universiade in Chengdu, China in 2023.
Davide Occhione states: “I am happy to join a very prestigious club like Rari Nantes Savona, which played in the Scudetto final. I thank those who strongly wanted me, starting from the coach and the entire management.
I am ready to get involved, committing myself day after day, so as not to disappoint the expectations of those who believed in me.
I hope to contribute to the achievement of ambitious goals.”
Technical Director Alberto Angelini declares: “We welcome Occhione’s arrival with pleasure and satisfaction. Universal player of excellent level and above all a super determined and ambitious boy who I have known and followed since the 2021 World Junior Championships. I am sure that we will have a good journey together.”
