Yesterday the CEO of Ancona, Roberta Nocelli, was in Florence to deposit the guarantee for the next Serie C championship. An indispensable condition for submitting the registration between Monday and Tuesday, then the awaited announcement of the new sporting director, in hope that in the meantime he has resolved his employment relationship with the current company he belongs to. This is the schedule for the next few days that Ancona will follow, with the team and coach still on holiday.
First the necessary paperwork for the next championship, therefore, which must be forwarded to the Lega Pro by June 4th, by the 11th for the clubs involved in the playoffs. The Dorians will therefore pay 60 thousand euros for registration for the next championship, after having deposited the guarantee yesterday in favor of the Lega Pro itself, provided through the suretyship of the amount of 350 thousand euros, as per FIGC regulations. Also in the 2024-25 sports season, the national licensing system adopted by the FIGC requires the fulfillment of the required obligations within essential and peremptory deadlines. Since there is no possibility of a subsequent amnesty, in the event of non-compliance or late compliance, the national license for participation in the next Serie C championship will not be granted. After the registration of the clubs participating in the playoffs, it will be known which of these have regularized their national license and which ones have not. At the moment there seem to be four clubs at risk of registration, but it remains to be verified: in the north there would be Lecco, in the center Ascoli, in the south Foggia and Turris. As soon as one of these is excluded, the readmission and repechage mechanism will come into play. Readmission in the event that some company does not submit registration, repechage, however, in the event of exclusion. In the first case there will be a readmission ranking of the relegated clubs, in the second a repechage according to a precise rule, namely that of inserting a second Serie A team into the next championship, in order, with AC Milan in pole position under 23, then a Serie D team, and finally one relegated from Serie C. However, clubs that have already benefited from this mechanism in the last five years cannot be reinstated or readmitted, nor clubs that have been penalised. In all this, Ancona stands by and proceeds with the work of the CEO and the red and white secretariat. Once the guarantee has been made, it is now the turn of registration, and then of the diesse. The next step will be the official confirmation of Roberto Boscaglia on the Ancona bench and, subsequently, it will be the moment of confirmation of those players whose contracts expire at the end of June and considered indispensable to the project. Then we will start talking about the transfer market. Yesterday’s step, which concerns the guarantee, therefore represents an act required for registration purposes but also testifies that Ancona is working every day for the next championship. The countdown for the arrival of the new manager is almost over, next week the official announcement that Ancona’s athletes have been waiting for for a long time could arrive: the resignation of the former director Micciola dates back to last March 24th.
