“Don’t know where to go on June 2nd? Come to the cinema, we will open the doors just for you and screen the films to spend the morning together. We are waiting for you”. It is with this post that L’Altrocinema Cicolella presents the ‘Bomb libera tutti.’ initiative on social media. For all those who do not flee from Foggia, designed for the Sunday morning of the evacuation of a part of the city to defuse the bomb in Via Spalato.
The program includes three extraordinary screenings. We start at 10 with the film ‘Rosalie’ directed by Stéphanie Di Giusto. At the same time and then at 12, for the little ones there will be the opportunity to see ‘Me against you – Operation spies’. At 10.30 ‘Furiosa’ will be screened and at 11 the film ‘The Penitent’
‘Rosalie’. The film tells the story of a young woman named Rosalie who is nothing like other girls, but hides a secret. Since her birth, the young girl has displayed a particular physical characteristic: her body and face are covered in fur. Rosalie is defined as “a woman with a beard“, but she never wanted to enter the circus or fair scene as a ‘phenomenon’. The girl, for fear of being rejected or made fun of, has always been forced to shave. When Abel, the bride, doesn’t imagine what secret is the girl hiding. Rosalie, for her part, would like to be seen only as a woman. Will Abel be able to love her when he discovers the truth?
‘Me against you – Spy operation’. This time he and Sofì are grappling with a great threat that disturbs the balance of our planet: the Alliance of Evil. Mr. S., Perfidia, Viperiana and Serpe have reunited and subjugated the entire world, convincing everyone that Luì and Sofi are very bad criminals. Not only that, as if this wasn’t already terrible in itself, the Alliance of Evil has convinced humanity that they are the good ones, as well as the only ones who can save the world from the cruel evil of Me Against You.
‘Furious’. It is the prequel to ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and is an origin story focused on the character of the Furiosa Empress. The film delves into the story of the renegade War Daughter, known for helping the Five Wives of ‘Immortal Joe’ in their escape and collaborating with Max to get rid of the evil despot. Anya Taylor-Joy will play the role of Furiosa. The film’s cast also includes Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen Il.
‘The Penitent’. It tells the story of a psychiatrist, who sees his life and career fall apart after refusing to testify on behalf of a former patient. The latter is an unstable person with a violent character and has caused the death of many people. The young patient’s belonging to the LGBTQA+ community, the doctor’s religious faith and a printing error will trigger a decidedly uncontrollable series of consequences fueled by the press’s hunger for news and the severe judgment of the law.
