Nik Ravio remains in Legnano

LEGNANO – The news was in the air, but now it’s official: Nik Raivio will still be a Knights player for the 2024/2025 season.

The American, now considered Legnano by adoption, had already embraced the red and white project last summer, choosing with conviction to return to the city of Northern Italy and signing a two-year contract, despite having received offers from teams in higher categories.

There loyalty of Raivio did not go unnoticed by the Knights management, who promptly confirmed the Portland native to their roster. Despite an initial injury and a not particularly brilliant season in terms of team results, Raivio provided excellent performances. Highlights include the game-winning shot against Avellino and an extraordinary 43-point game against Caserta. Furthermore, he finished the season as top scorer in group A of the National Serie B with an average of 18.3 points per game and in second place overall.

Raivio achieved other impressive records during the season: best defensive rebounder in the group (7.3 on average, second in the Serie B), best average rating (23.7, first in the entire Serie B) and best overall rating (710, first in the entire Serie B).

Basilico said: “Nik is a certainty and we had no doubts about him. We started thinking about the new team starting from the best scorer in the group and a person we know well. We are happy that he still has the desire and ‘hunger’ to play with us and for us. As always, it will be a pleasure to see him on the pitch wearing our shirt.”

Nik Raivio will therefore continue to wear the number 30 jersey of the Knights, ready to give new emotions to the fans next season.
