Last weekend, the 3rd ‘Claudio Fabrizi’ trophy, pioneer of clay shooting, was presented at the Tav Cascata delle Marmore of president Ferdinando Donati. As many as 104 participants from different regions of Italy, as well as athletes from Kuwait involved in the Green Cup 2024 which is underway at President Giuliano Proietti’s Tav Umbriaverde. During the awards ceremony, the ISFF and Fitav world president Luciano Rossi sent a video message with which he congratulated the winner and the excellent organization that president Donati reserves for every sporting event. A memory to my friend Claudio for a life spent in favor of clay shooting and to his son Gianni, current Fitav provincial delegate of Terni who, despite the difficulties that clay shooting is going through, perseveres in continuing to organize the trophy in memory of his father with tenacity and determination. During the award ceremony, Gianni Fabrizi himself wanted to remember the recent death of Mrs. Franca, mother of president Ferdinando Donati, who throughout her life was a point of reference for her precious advice from the Donati Sport armory and sports shop in via Beccaria in Terni and for his human qualities always aimed at listening to those most in need. The barrage reserved strong emotions for everyone present, with the final victory obtained by the Kuwaiti Olympian Tala Al Rashidi: after hitting 50 targets out of 50 at the barrage he made no mistakes, closing the series with 25 out of 25. The performance in the final of the very young Michele Pastura who won with 24 targets out of 25. The Kuwaiti Tala Al Rashidi, coached by Mirko Cenci from Foligno, with great fair play handed over the ‘Fabrizi’ trophy to Michele Pastura. The appointment is next year, again at the Tav Cascata delle Marmore.
