In Florence, at the headquarters of CGIL Tuscanythe assembly of Consumer Federation of Tuscany elected unanimously Laura Grandi as President of the organization. Grandi, a 58-year-old Florentine with a degree in Political Science, brings with her vast experience as former general secretary of the Sunia Federation of Florence and Tuscany for two terms.
Laura Grandi’s task will be to lead the regional organization through the years ahead, characterized by significant challenges, especially regarding the well-being of families. Family incomes are being eroded by uncontrolled increases in the costs of basic needs, and the number of workers and pensioners living in poverty is growing.
The assembly thanked the outgoing secretary Luca D’Onofrio for his commitment and wished the best for the future. This new role sees Laura Grandi committed to carrying on a fundamental battle for the protection of Tuscan citizens, facing the current difficulties with determination and commitment.
