Apartment thief arrested by the police after being caught stealing from a neighbour’s house: he attacks a tenant who needs hospital treatment.
House thief caught by neighbors
On the eastern outskirts of Pavia, on the morning of Saturday 15 June 2024, an attempt to home burglaryand it was abruptly interrupted by attentive neighbors that have heard suspicious noises coming from the apartment next door. Having arrived on site to verify the situation, the residents have caught a stranger intent on burgling the house. The confrontation quickly escalated into one scuffle during which one of the neighbors was injuredwith a prognosis of a few days.
Arrested for aggravated robbery
Having been alerted, the police also arrived promptly on site, putting an end to the fight and proceeding with the arrest of the alleged thief for aggravated robbery. Although the criminal had initially attempted to carry out a theft, the use of violence during confrontation with neighbors raised the level of the crime.
The man, acting alone, had chosen daytime to enter the apartment, perhaps thinking that theabsence of the owners could help his plan. However, his foray it didn’t go unnoticed by the neighbors.
After the rapid intervention of the police, the thief was taken to the police station for the ritual procedures and held pending the validation of the arrest.
