«How did the idea of writing “Giallorossi forever” come about? It’s easy to say – says Gioy Rielli, originally from Trepuzzi and Leccese by adoption who in recent years has lived between Rome and Milan for professional reasons (he is involved in the world of cinema and fashion, he has also worked with Sylvester Stallone in Daylight – Trap in the Tunnel, film directed by Rob Cohen, ed.) -. At the time we often played five-a-side football with some representatives of Lecce Calcio, including the CEO Fenucci. On the occasion of one of our traditional weekly challenges it was Claudio himself, who knew of my great passion for singing, who launched the idea: “Gioy, why don’t you write the Lecce anthem?”. I didn’t think twice and immediately got to work. After producing some promos here in Lecce, Fenucci gave me the green light to create the anthem. I then went to Bologna, to the studio of Robert Sidoli, one of Lucio Dalla’s arrangers. Thanks to his precious contribution we created the final promo which everyone really liked. “Okay, it will be our official anthem,” Fenucci said. I took care of the creation of the CDs myself and, as mentioned, in 2000, for the first time I sang “Giallorossi per semper” at Via del Mare paired with Cecilia Gayle”. Now Gioy Rielli has decided to bring “Giallorossi forever” to the streets of Salento. «It’s exactly like that – confirms the singer from Lecce -. Over the summer I will perform in some municipalities in the area thanks to the collaboration of the municipal administrations, which I sincerely thank. It will be wonderful for me to bring the Lecce anthem to the main squares of the Salento peninsula.”
