FANO Listening, operating, vision. These are the guiding words of the program of F – Una città Maiuscola + Europa, the organic list of the centre-left and Cristian Fanesi’s candidacy for mayor which refers to Cora Fattori, outgoing councilor for the Environment and Culture.

The keywords

The guiding star is instead the person, whom an efficient public administration must be able to protect, guaranteeing services and promoting a culture of respect. Precisely “culture” is another expression that often recurs, constituting with “environment” and “digitalization” a trend that Fattori believes has progressed for a long time since its entry into the city government and which in the future will have to find increasingly full implementation , starting with the reorganization of the administrative machinery. «I am thinking of the strengthening of the Sic, but also of the Europe office and the Energy office which in one year brought in 1.6 million» claims Fattori, who in the field of development assigns Fano «for its central position and especially due to the presence of high profile companies” a central role in the engineering sector. However, now it is also a question of concentrating on targeted training activities, playing side by side with universities, and dreaming that one day “a professional can choose to live and work in Fano rather than Milan”. Certainly economic growth “must combine with social and cultural growth”, on this last front by continuing to operate on already very fertile ground, but by increasingly broadening the horizon, also through the reuse of places that have been closed for too long (“like the spaces of Palazzo Marcolini to be used as workshops for young people») and the adaptation of others, such as San Francesco and Corte Malatestiana «which I was the one who reopened for events. But you don’t need a stage.” The model must be that of the Hall of Culture «which gives the dimension of the “much” that can be done with “little”». The recipe for mobility is instead that of sustainability to be implemented on a large scale, starting from the contents of the PUMS and committing, for example, so that, while awaiting possible long-term developments, the city section of the Fano – Urbino «is in the meantime made available at least for pedestrian transit and in some places also for cycle traffic” insists Fattori, who in the parking chapter, especially after the transition from the State Property to the Municipality, returns to inscribe the thought expressed already in 2019 “of an underground car park with 500 spaces at the ” Paolini” next to a similar structure in the Orti area. It’s right to keep cars away from the center but we need to give them the opportunity to park along the perimeter.” Among the points most important to us is also the energy efficiency of public buildings.
