Thus the head of the executive: «The electoral campaign climate that now permanently occupies our lives is understandable, but these forced controversies taken out of context seem rather like an excess of protagonism. I say this because, if I remember correctly, the Pas representatives in 2023 were received at Palazzo Chigi by representatives of the Government and the majority, handing them a dossier on the free zone entitled “Reflections and laws for the application of a violated right” , defined as “the first step towards broader government autonomy and self-determination of Aosta Valley residents in the medium and long term”. It seemed to me that in this regard there was no concern on the part of the Roman institutions regarding the ideas and intentions of Pays d’Aoste Souverain”.
Tricolor sash
As regards the question of the tricolor sash, the answer has already been given by the president of the Cpel and, moreover, it is a sterile controversy, triggered only after the Rovenaud ceremony and arising from entirely personal considerations. In this regard, we would like to point out how the mayor of Valsavarenche, with whom I shared the ceremony, wore the sash with complete serenity, as did the other mayors present, on whom nothing was imposed and who wore the sash in accordance with the regulations regional, which includes – in addition to the coat of arms of the Republic – the coat of arms of the Region and the Municipality: their participation strongly testified to the presence of their communities at the commemoration of the eightieth anniversary of the assassination of Emile Chanoux, underlining the importance of this moment of I remember.
