Hundreds of events are scheduled throughout the city for the initiative promoted by the City of Turin and the ATC of Central Piedmont
Shared lunches, snacks and dinners, music, workshops and recreational activities for adults and children: there are over 90 events scheduled for Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May as part of the Festa dei Vicini, the initiative with which the City of Turin and the The Territorial Housing Agency of Central Piedmont adheres to the European Neighbors Day, born in Paris in 1999.
After the first edition in 2006, with the only interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Festa dei Vicini has seen a growing success of participants over the years, united in the objective of strengthening the sense of community and mutual help, promoting good neighborly relations and strengthening the bonds of proximity and social solidarity.
The events of the Festival, which this year reaches its thirteenth edition, take place in the courtyards of public residential buildings, in private ones, in squares, in public gardens and in school courtyards which, after the positive experience of last year , have once again decided to join, opening their doors to families and visitors. Between Saturday and Sunday, there are therefore hundreds of opportunities to meet and have fun in every city district, in which naturally all interested people can participate.
Just to give a few examples, the calendar includes live music and fun activities in the social housing complex in via San Massimo; shared dinner under the arcades of via Sacchi; music and workshops in the historic center; bookcrossing and entertainment in the solidarity condominium in via Romolo Gessi, Santa Rita district; photographic exhibition, group dancing and singing in the Corso Grosseto complex, Borgo Vittoria; tasting of typical products and musical entertainment in via Como, Aurora district and then convivial moments in the houses of the neighborhood, in the headquarters of associations, in the squares and pedestrian areas converted into meeting places.
