CD Projekt Red had a lot of ideas in the pipeline for Cyberpunk 2077, some of which went beyond the publication of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, the vast and impressive expansion that saw the light in 2023. But what ideas are we talking about, in detail? Insider-Gaming reported the indiscretion of the existence of a canceled DLC.

According to what emerged today, CD Projekt Red would have canceled Cyberpunk 2077 Moon, a DLC set on the moon. Despite the intention to expand the narrative universe of Cyberpunk with further in-game content, this no longer happened: CD Projekt Red in fact has a future full of projects, including a “new” IP: Hadar. Precisely for these reasons, therefore, it would seem that the Polish development house has decided not to work on the creation of Cyberpunk 2077 Moon.

Nonetheless, numerous ones have appeared online in the past few hours images, concept art and data of a new map expected with the release of Cyberpunk 2077 Moon. Going into more detail, this content should have been an addition of no small importance, even foreseen for the basic version of the game: it would seem, in fact, that the section of the title dedicated to the Moon was discarded during the completion of Cyberpunk 2077, thus cutting the contents in view of a future DLC.

Despite the goal of reusing such content, however, CD Projekt would ultimately decide to completely discard the idea of expanding the map beyond the vast confines of Night City. What do you think of what recently emerged? Would you have liked to set foot on a futuristic version of the Moon?
