News in waste collection in Rho: only kitchen waste in the brown bin

A.Se.R. Spa, Azienda Servizi del Rhodense, a subsidiary of the Municipality of Rho, launches an information campaign to remember an important rule, little followed by residents until now: only kitchen waste should be thrown into the brown bins intended for organic waste. It is not possible to put clippings, grass and plant fractions in general inside them. The destination plant for the wet fraction is not the same as the plant fraction: the two types of waste are not subjected to the same treatment and must be sent to different plants. This makes it necessary to carry out a collection of quality staff, placing only kitchen scraps in the brown container vegetables, both raw and cooked, peels, cores, stones, vegetables, bread, biscuits, rice, pasta, egg shells, tea and coffee grounds, cheese rinds, meat scraps, bags made of biodegradable material.

It is not possible to include any waste from the gardensuch as cutting grass, pruning branches, hedges, leaves: if these materials are present in the bin, it will not be emptied. You can bring your own vegetable fractionautonomously, to ecological platform in via Sesia: the area is equipped to receive the collection of this type of waste, which will then be transferred to the correct destination plant. Or, you can do the home composting: those who have a green area can independently dispose of organic and vegetal fraction in their own composter, hole or pile, producing compost, a useful fertilizer for vegetable gardens, pots and gardens.

To provide extra help a new service is then activated: home collection, with the subscription formula, at a cost of €90.00/year including VAT, the price of which, limited to the year 2024 and due to particular and non-repeatable conditions, is significantly lower than market values. A.Se.R. undertakes to empty this bin 18 times a year according to a calendar downloadable from the website www.aserspa.net; the passage is scheduled for Monday in the time slot 6.00-12.00 (exposure between 8.00 pm on Sunday and 6.00 am on Monday) for all users involved regardless of the area they belong to.

The users who request the service by filling out the appropriate form on the A.Ser.R. website they will receive a bin which, according to a dedicated calendar, will be emptied periodically with variable frequency depending on the month. This third option can be requested by users up to date with the payment of the TARI and by single- and semi-detached homes with a garden/green area. For those who do not fall into these categories, Customer Service can carry out a personalized assessment. This service does not include the collection of large wooden stumps and branches, nor the emptying of bins whose contents spill out of the container or which contain treated wood and stumps. Green bins will not be emptied if they contain plastic bags, food residues or other waste. Materials left outside the bin will not be collected nor will containers other than those dedicated to this service be emptied.
