Interreg workation session in Termoli

TERMOLI. FRea Project – Interreg South Adriatic Targeted training in Molise “Working in rural areas and financial opportunities sustaining enterprise creation in tourism sector”.

It is possible to participate in the training activities of the FRea project, financed through the Interreg South Adriatic Programme, by joining the Targeted Training scheduled in Molise, in Termoli, from 10 to 14 June 2024, at the University of Molise.

The relevant public notice – “Working in rural areas and financial opportunities sustaining enterprise creation in tourism sector”, together with the application forms, is available at the following Sviluppo Italia Molise link.

The FRea project (“From Fictitious to Real hotel ideas for innovative forms of tourism” – financed through funds from the Interreg IPA Lower Adriatic Program 2021/2027, SA – 0100063 FRea), was born from the collaboration of the Department of Economic Sciences of the University of Salento with the regional agency “SviluppoItalia Molise” SpA and with the associations operating in the sustainable tourism sector “People In Focus” (Albania) and “New Horizon” (Montenegro).

The training will be focused on the theme of “worktation”.

This neologism describes a new form of tourism that is increasingly widespread today, especially after the pandemic and the consequent development of smart-working and similar technologies and consists in fruitfully combining, in the same context, work experience and holiday, in tourist facilities designed to improve productivity, thanks to the relaxation resulting from a welcoming and stimulating environment.

Tourism sector experts and teachers from the University of Molise and the University of Salento will manage the training activities, with a focus on work in rural areas and on financial opportunities to support business creation in the tourism sector.

The project aims to encourage a significant improvement in company skills and the ability to develop a new potential tourism market segment, with a focus on the principles of inclusion and sustainability. The beneficiaries of the results of the Project, which includes further activities over the next few months, will be cross-border hospitality operators, i.e. hotel chains, farmhouses, resorts and local related industries.
