A second guesthouse in L’Aquila for transplant patients. The activation of a second home in the city made possible thanks to the commitment and support of the Association The Eagle for life and not only.

One will be inaugurated on May 28th in L’Aquila Guesthouse intended to host transplant patients: the appointment is at 11.30 am in via delle Vigne, n.9, in the Ariete condominium. The Foresteria will be the first facility in L’Aquila that will have the task of offering a home to patients who have had a transplant and their families. In the capital there is already a guesthouse in the same building, behind the Solaria district. A first structure, inaugurated some time ago, which hosts cancer patients forced to undergo chemotherapy cycles in day hospital at the San Salvatore hospital. The activation of a new structure was possible – as reported The center – thanks to L’Aquila’s commitment to life in collaboration with AstraScientific Association of Transplants and Research in Abruzzo, with the president Fabio Vistoli And Antr, National Kidney Transplant Association, chaired by Maurizio Videtta.

There are six beds available in three different rooms and two sofa beds, as well as two bathrooms, a washing machine and an equipped kitchen.
Meanwhile “for the guesthouse reserved for cancer patients the demand is very high and comes from every area of ​​Italy”, he reported Giorgio Paravano, president of Onlus L’Aquila for life, in the center. “It was precisely starting from that first experience that the Transplant Department needed to use a second apartment: a place that would be a point of reference for many families who often have to deal with very long hospitalizations.” The Guesthouse service will be completely free for guests: the expenses will be borne by the three promoting associations. The Municipality of L’Aquila has granted the apartments on loan for use. “We thank councilor Vito Colonna. The structure will already be active starting from May 28th.”
