An exclusive event is preparing to color Trani with art and solidarity: “Arte Solidale”, lhe first edition of an exhibition with charity auction, scheduled from 6 to 8 June in the Sala Ronchi of the “Giovanni Bovio” Library. The protagonist of this initiative will be the art of local artists, who will donate their pictorial, sculptural and photographic works to support fragile families in the area who live in conditions of poverty.
The highlight of the event will be the solidarity auction which will be held on Sunday 8 June from 5pm to 7pm. The proceeds from the charity auction will go entirely to the Orizzonti Association, which has been involved in the fight against food and health poverty for over 16 years. The funds raised will be used to provide basic food items to needy families.
The event, organized by the Orizzonti Association in collaboration with the “L’Ebanista” Association and with the patronage of the Trani-Bisceglie planning office of the Third Sector department and the Municipality of Trani, represents an opportunity to admire the talent of local artists and at the same time make a concrete gesture of solidarity.
«Our mission has always been to support people who live in vulnerable conditions – explains the President of the Orizzonti Association Angelo Guarriello – so that they can improve the living conditions of their families and their active reintegration into the community. Our programs also support vulnerable families with children under 6. We mobilize our human resources through the support of food and non-food items of basic necessity, to reach a greater number of people and amplify the impact of solidarity initiatives. We are an open network and we collaborate with bodies, organizations and foundations that share our objectives through donations of food goods and other items useful for the primary needs of poor families”.
«Through this initiative, artistic beauty, the goodness of the gift and the joy of mercy find a common denominator – adds Giuseppe Laurara, President of the L’Ebanista Association -. «A cohesive community aimed at mutual aid lives without worries about its sustenance. Respect and solidarity between the people of the area produces spiritual, moral and economic wealth. We believe that this type of event can represent the right barrier against indifference.”
