And, again, people of all ages who simply wanted to visit active study and research spaces within the structure. The International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste was full of visitors today for its Open Day, an afternoon with guided tours, games, meetings with researchers and activities for the little ones. Among the most popular proposals are visits to the corridors, classrooms and other spaces of the headquarters in via Bonomea, including the most spectacular environments on the top floors, characterized by a breathtaking view of the city. The visitors then tried their hand at laboratory activities dedicated to cell cultures, the secrets of DNA or the study of neurons. There will also be space to discover the role of the fruit fly, used for more than 100 years in scientific research and fundamental for various discoveries. And then there are many questions and curiosities about the use of AI and its future development. Una Margherita a Trieste was also screened, the documentary that offers a portrait of Margherita Hack through the stories of those who met and knew her in Trieste. Also on stage is the theater show Parl(IA)moci – Impossible dialogue between Alma and Gustav Mahler, between an actress and ChatGPT.
