Two police arrests in Sassari for attempted fraud
There police followed two suspects to Sassari and they arrested them as they were about to score a scam on the elderly. On Wednesday, a car landed in Sardinia with two young people specialized in scams to the elderly and the police began searching. L’car wanted was identified near the industrial area of Predda Niedda and followed discreetly until it stopped in a nearby neighborhood, near homes. They had given her an address where she should present herself to deliver the requested sum. Address which was very close to the place where the car had stopped.
At that point the Mobile agents intervened and identified the two young people. Foiling the scam and preventing the elderly victim from coming into contact with the two criminals. The young people, dedicated to this type of criminal activity and with numerous previous convictions for crimes against property, ended up at the police station. It emerged that a few days earlier they had landed at the port of Olbia and that they had already achieved others two similar scams. The car and cell phones ended up seized and the two young people were sent to prison Pallets.
