The countdown is almost over, from 18 to 26 May Molise (Campobasso, Isernia and Termoli) will host the 2024 National University Championships.
Cus Parma presents itself at the big event with a team made up of over 150 athletes, coaches and managers.
The championships, which FederCUSI organizes every year for university students enrolled in Italian universities, will begin on Saturday 18 May: for CUS Parma the representatives of Athletics, judo And taekwondo.
Athletics will compete in the Isernia facility, while the other disciplines will be in Campobasso. Monday 20th is a day of fire: the team tournaments begin with 4 matches involving the Rossoneri teams in addition to the tennis. The soccer, the outgoing bronze medalist, will make his debut in Termoli at 10 am against CUS L’Aquila. In the event of a win, they will likely face CUS Mo.Re. the following day: to reach the semi-finals it will be mandatory to win both matches, otherwise they will return home.
In the volleyball in the women’s and men’s competition, where both teams are putting their silver medal won at Camerino 2023 up for grabs, the formula includes 4 groups of 3 teams: the top 2 in each group advance to the quarter-finals. The women’s team will start at 10.30 against Pavia: based on the result, the calendar of the other match will be decided, which will be against CUS Bologna.
For the men, there will be even 2 matches on Tuesday 21st: at 10.30 and 19.00, opponents will be CUS Bologna and CUS Cagliari.
Also on Tuesday, the team returns to the final stages 5-a-side football: in the 3-team group they will face CUS Camerino and CUS Salerno, with the second match scheduled for Wednesday. CUS first in the group standings advances to the semi-finals.
The tournament also starts on Tuesday 21st basketball: group of 4 teams, one match per day. Only the top-ranked teams advance to the semi-finals. For CUS Parma they will make their debut against CUS Pisa, then they will face CUS Brescia and CUS Torino.
The tournament begins on Wednesday 22nd rugby 7with the finals scheduled for the following day: a very tough group for the Rossoneri, silver medalists, who will face reigning champion CUS Torino, bronze medalist CUS Udine, CUS Tor Vergata and CUS Bologna.
