The Magliano Omnicomprehensive Institute of Larino, under the guidance of the School Director Emilia Saccocontinues to demonstrate its excellence in the musical field, thanks to the many initiatives promoted and successfully managed.
The latest demonstration of the talent and commitment of the institute’s students came with the Magliano Orchestra, which achieved unprecedented recognition at the Music Festival “YES…TRAVEL…RE” in Rionero in Vulture. The event, now in its eighth edition, was organized by the IC “Michele Granata” and saw the participation of six orchestras from various regions of southern Italy.
Under the guidance of the professors Roberto Di Carlo, Massimo Di Cristofaro, Irene Iaccarino and Loredana Vaccaro, dozens of students showcased their musical talents, combining their skills in the beauty of an orchestra. The result was extraordinary: the Magliano Orchestra was unanimously awarded first prize by the popular jury, also obtaining second place in the event according to the technical jury. The latter also awarded them the silver palm for the excellent performance of the chosen repertoire.
Presiding over the technical jury was Maestro Walter Farina, holder of the chair of Composition and Instrumentation for Wind Orchestra at the Rodi Garganico Conservatory. To accompany “the victorious ensemble” Professor Lucia Bellastella teacher of Musical Disciplines, who takes care of the connections of continuity, internationalization and verticalization of the training courses on the various orders of the Frentano Omnicomprehensive School.
The students demonstrated an extraordinary love and passion for music, suggesting that educational success will continue to be a constant for future generations. The school can boast a tradition of excellence which has also borne fruit among its former students, many of whom today practice their profession successfully, testifying to the value of the education received at the Istituto Omnicomprensivo Magliano di Larino.
