16/05/2024 – Intense two days in the Marche for the minister and deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini, federal secretary of the League, who visited Ascoli Piceno and Pesaro to present his book “Controvento – The Italy that does not give up” and support the candidacies European elections of the Hon. Mirco Carloni and the regional councilor Anna Menghi, the Lega list for the municipality of Ascoli Piceno, the candidate for mayor of Fano Luca Serfilippi. The leaders of the Northern League were present, led by the regional secretary Giorgia Latini, vice-president of the Culture commission.
The evening of May 15th was sold out despite the important concomitant football event for a presentation in which Salvini touched on the salient themes of his European project. “The League is the only party, both right and left, that keeps its promises and we have a clear idea of how to change Europe – said the deputy prime minister during the evening – The key words are work, peace and security. We are committed to stopping the follies of the European Union which put the homes of Italians at risk and for the defense of the Italian borders, stopping illegal landings instead of talking about war and considering sending Italian soldiers to die in Ukraine. If the mood is that of the 800 people present at the Ventidio Basso for the presentation of my book, for the League there are all the conditions for a good surprise from the European Championships”.
There was also great participation at the presentation of the list for the Ascoli municipal elections where Salvini underlined the role of the League in a city well administered by the centre-right. “We aim to become the first party in the city – he said during the press conference – The League has done well and worked to include, we have welcomed many people. We’re sorry that everyone wasn’t included in the same way, but the important thing is to make the city of Ascoli grow.”
The Marche tour ended in Pesaro, the capital of a province in which the League is strongly rooted, so much so that it has expressed its candidate for mayor of Fano with the regional councilor Luca Serfilippi. At the presentation of the book at the Hotel Charlie there were the provincial secretary Enrico Rossi for the local party, the municipal secretary Silvana Ghiretti and the municipal group leader Dario Andreolli with the candidate for mayor of Pesaro for the centre-right Marco Lanzi.
“It was an important occasion for everyone – the comment of the Hon. Giorgia Latini, secretary of the Lega Marche, satisfied with the evident success of the subsequent appointments in which she participated with the entire management team starting from the deputy Mauro Lucentini with the regional and provincial directors, councilors and regional councilors – Let’s consider the deputy prime minister a Marche native by adoption, given his assiduous presence in the region. A path of collaboration has been established with Salvini for the relaunch of works in our territory, which was too penalized for a long time. His visit represents yet another demonstration of attention by the League and the government to our areas.”
