“The Rosary has accompanied me in moments of joy and in times of trial and has had an important place in my spiritual life. I have handed over many worries to it, I have always found comfort in it.”
With these touching words, with a strong autobiographical flavour, written in the Apostolic Letter dedicated to holy Rosary by the late Pontiff Saint John Paul IIthe joint parish priest of Parish of the Blessed Virgin of Carmine of Lamezia Terme, Don Pino Latelli, informed the faithful that the Queen of Peace of Medjugorje, “pilgrim of love”, will visit The sick of the community throughout the month of May dedicated to the Virgin.
It is about the “Peregrinatio Mariae” that is, the pilgrimage of the statue of the Queen of Peace which, carried every day in procession, is hosted by the families in which sick people and not self-sufficient.
The “Pilgrim of Love” enters the daily life of families and visit the faithful of the community bringing relief, comfort and help to the families and the sick who, for the occasion, embellish their homes with flowers and lights to welcome her with dignity.
“It’s really the Madonna – adds Don Pino – who visits all those people who cannot follow the normal functions in church. Her sweet maternal presence will certainly dispense thanks and blessings to those who, at times, are marked by illness and loneliness.”.
The program of the Peregrinatio provides that at the recitation of holy rosary pondered, will follow up adequate catechesis Mariana and the consecration of the family to the Madonna.
Every evening all the faithful, welcoming the Pope’s appeals, in front of the image of the Madonna, are joining their voice to the choral prayer of those throughout the world they beg for peace.
