Theater workshops, cultural meetings and many focuses on the performing arts: this and much more in2024 edition of the Cariplo Foundation project “LAIVin Action”, presented today in the Municipality of Varese. Scheduled in Varese and Cantù from Monday 20th to Friday 24th May, the initiative will involve around 2500 students, 80 schools and four stages.

«LAIVin Action is a Fondazione Cariplo project that has lasted for many years and which has changed over time. The acronym stands for live interpretive arts laboratory. – explains Enzo Laforgia, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Varese – This project allows secondary schools to share the experiences made in what are traditionally called theater workshops, aimed at developing skills in everything that is performative and artistic and which can have a function in the growth path of students students.”

«This historic project, aimed at secondary schools in the area, is very important for us. Paola Manfredi of the board of the ETRE association (network that brings together theatrical and multidisciplinary residencies based in Lombardy) adds: «We are among the associations that will have a role in this project, which will tour all the provinces and which will also be open to the entire territory».

«As for Varese, we will bring the Festival to the heart of the city: the Estensi Gardens. We will use both the Salone Estense and the space of the civic library – he explains the organizer of the initiative Stefano Beghi – there will be three activities proposed: a stuntman workshop, another for the production of images and the third will be linked to civic expression and thought through a social experiment.”

Furthermore, on Tuesday 21 May there will be a space for discussion between the different generations, with the presence of four entrepreneurs, where they will answer the kids’ questions as the new generations would. «The objective is to create dialogue and comparison between different generations” concludes the organizer.

Finally, he will be present at Estensi Gardens the installation «I take the sun in Turin», made of wood and fabric, with which the children will be able to interact and modify it as they wish, giving it the meaning they want.
